Our Aim

This web site is devoted to the dissemination of information on the activities being performed in the frame of the Coordination Action EFONGA  approved in the Sixth Framework Program, Priority 3 (Nanotechnologies and nanosciences, knowledge based multifunctional materials, new production processes and devices).

Here reference is made in particular to the activities of Workpackages 1.4 [ Hybrid and nanocomposite materials for optoelectronics ] and 2.2 [ Waveguides, optical amplifiers and lasers ]. In turn, such activities are related to those of the Technical Committee TC-20 "Glasses for Optoelectronics" of the International Commission on Glass.
